The English Lime, or small leaved lime is a native ancient woodland tree, not to be confused with the citrus fruit tree! It's a haven for many pollinators including the lime hawk moth whose caterpillars eat the leaves. The bees love its heavily scented flowers and produce a refreshing, citrussy honey with an a slightly minty tang.
